Founded in 2020, K-Fiber Optics has strived to provide a true, efficient and reliable service than what this community is used to. Since the pandemic too many of us have struggled with the services that’s available. The need for a proper internet company arose and became us. We started by owning and operating our own fiber network in the community.

What exactly is Fiber Optics?
THE FUTURE! It is a technology that is used to transmit information as pulses of invisible light through strands of fibers made of glass over long distances. Optical fibers are about the diameter of a strand of human hair and when bundled into a fiber-optic cable, they’re capable of transmitting more data over longer distances and faster than other mediums. It is this technology that provides homes and businesses with fiber-optic internet, phone and TV services.

What Makes K Fiber Optics Better?
All of the service providers that are around the community rely on either a wireless or a coaxial based network. These technologies are outdated and cannot handle the speeds of today’s day and age. I am sure you heard of the term “lag”? Lag is when there is high latency. Latency is the time is takes your computer to go on the internet and get information and then bring it back to you. The longer it takes, the worse off you are. We will be eliminating that by bring you speeds you never experienced before, and “lag” will be an old English term in no time. One device, called an ONT, takes the infrared light signal from the fiber we bring to your house and converts it into electrical pulses that the router,
second device, understands. The router is the magnificent device we all love and enjoy. The router gives us ethernet, Wi-fi and a connected home/office.

The Procedure at your House/Business:
We bring fiber optic cable directly to your home/office. We try our best not to, but we might have to drill a small hole to bring the fiber into your home/business. On some homes, we add a utility box outside because your basement or electrical box is quite a distance away. Other times we bring the fiber cable directly inside. After all the preliminary work is done, we make an appointment with you to install the ONT (fiber to ethernet converter) and a router. Right after this, you’re officially ONLINE!
Location
The best real estate in the house is the one that has the highest internet speed. Our routers are designed to handle all types of houses, big or small,
but they work best when they are in the areas where they reach the most devices. When our installers come to set-up your equipment,
tell them the best places you need to have Wi-fi or ethernet connection. We’ll do our best to bring the router there.
